How time flies…
This is the second time I listened to the song “Girls just wanna have fun” by Cyndi Lauper on radio today. Brings back memories of Kindergarten. If you’re thinking….boy….you actually remembered this “grownup” song when you just came out of your diaper wearing age…..well, it is coz my next door class in kindie danced to this song while my class had some stupid Chinese fan dance for kindie concert. So I believe I heard that song for like a billion times during rehearsal.
Fast forward 20 years later, I have finished all the compulsory exams(including drivers license) a person have to take throughout their life and is now contributing to the work force with her little bit of knowledge garnered all these years. It wasn’t a stroll in the park and obviously there were many many things I would have done otherwise if I had to choose my paths all over again….but I am glad I went through thick and thin to be here and accomplished the little things that made my parents proud. It wasn’t perfect but I’m glad I made it this far……..that 5 year old listening to that song 20 years back wouldn’t expect to be writing all these 20 years later……in a blog =)
